WE HAVE LAYOUT IMAGES

We have layout images. We have layout images. I repeat, this is not a drill, it's a book! A book that you will likely receive by the end of q1 2022 that has official layout images and the only thing missing from these pages is the occasional grease or grime splash! 

Conclusion

We'll be updating more as we get more of these but please believe me when I say, things are moving VERY quickly!

New Year New Update

Hi Friends,

Brad here, with a quick update on some R&R stuff. At this point all of what’s left is out of our hands. The book is currently in the very competent care of our Layout Artist (@DropTheDie on the bird app) and once we are all good to go on that, the PDFs will hit your inboxes faster than a badly cooked chicken can go all the way through you.

That being said, what I do have an update on are the spell, monster, and item cards! Below you’ll find some mock-ups of our wonderful spell, item, and monster cards that Carina, our Card Connoisseur, has made for all you good little humanoids.

Conclusion:

We took the last several weeks of December off because it had been yet another long year, and no more so than for y'all who have been waiting very patiently for these precious PDFs to get in your hands. I hope you all are getting excited about how very VERY VERY close we are getting to a finished product. There is absolutely no way we would be here without y’alls support, financially or otherwise. If you’d like to become a more permanent member of the Action Fiction Community, you can hit up our Discord  and our Patreon the latter of which I’ve been told has a tier that comes with a Holiday card every year.

HOLY JINGLE BELLS BATMAN

Has it really been a month!? What!? When!? Where!? Why!? Who?!

WELL HECK HOWDY Y’ALL

It's your favorite invertebrate back at it with the last Kickstarter update of the year. Given how busy the holidays are for everyone and how hard it can be to stay on schedule due to family events like, the yearly guilt giving contest in which your parents call you and ask why you haven't uploaded an Amazon wishlist to the family text chain yet because time is running out and that no you may not go without receiving presents this year because you are a member of this family and will be treated and shown affection as such.

No? Just me? Shoot.

ALL THE CLASSES ARE READY FOR PLAYTEST!

After months of searching, we finally found a sensitivity reader for the Drag Paladin and got the green light to proceed with the next stage of post-production. Editing and Playtesting! Which means if you go to our community Discord you can access it as well as all the other Chromatic Gamut playtest material!

PROGRESS AND STUFF

Progress on Chromatic Gamut is going better than my little Grinch heart could have ever expected. We are currently on schedule to begin final edits (you know, the REALLY annoying ones where you argue for an hour over whether to use a comma at the end of a list) in January, which means that the layout will be close behind. So, all in all, we are still on track for a PDF release in Q1 of 2022. With Restaurants & Retail in the hands of its editor and layout artist, we could have all the Murka books off to be printed as early as the beginning of Q2 next year (sometime between April and June). And that's exciting!  Because then it's entirely out of our hands. We will have done everything we can and all that's left is our printers to print the books and for our fulfillment agents at Nord Games to work their warehouse magic!

Which will mean an end to these Kickstarter updates. Which is bittersweet. We love being able to communicate with backers and answer questions directly. But isn’t the sign of a successful Kickstarter the end of its journey?

Either way, these thoughts are for next year. I’ll see you all in January for a post-holiday update, and if you don't see one, yell at Brad on our community server.

Friends, Pals, Buddies, Valued Backers, WE'VE DONE IT!

We've done it! After nearly a year and a half of figuring things out and going over this book more than twice, two days ago we moved the final document into the folder necessary for the Layout artist!!!

What that means:

We COULD NOT be more excited about this, what it means is that we are in the final stage before you get the book in your (digital) hands. As soon as layout is finished we send the book off to the printer and the PDFs to your inboxes.

It also means that if you had someone who was on the fence about pre-ordering or late-pledging, NOW is the time for them to make up their minds, because as soon as we finish laying it out (or more accurately as soon as our layout person finishes it) there won't be any more pre-orders because we will no longer be in the era of 'pre', it'll just be orders!

Lastly, it also means that in the semi-near future we should have an estimated date for delivery of both PDFs and physical copies, so watch out for that. We'll be sure to send out a final confimation backerkit survey just to confirm everything before we do that though. So in the event you are worried because maybe you've moved or are going to move, DO NOT WORRY, you will have the chance to update your information as close to delivery as we can get it. 

Conclusion

I've shared most of the book with you at this point, and if you all want more I will be happy to include some more teasers and art next time, but I was so excited about this that I wanted to avoid diluting it in an enormous update.
